Rooted-being stems from each individual finding balance between mind, body, and spirit. Acknowledging the need and desire to further enhance one's being takes not only perseverance, but also a supportive root system to help achieve one's goals and functional gains. Once a person finds balance between the mind, body, and spirit their life's purpose and overall well-being is greatly heightened.

and in the causes and prevention of disease." Thomas Edison

Lala has over a decade of experience in the field of orthopedic and sports medicine as a PT and Certified Athletic Trainer. After PT school, she enhanced her manual skills by graduating from a massage program in Phoenix, AZ. She has been trained in a variety of techniques including Therapeutic/Deep Tissue Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage, and Neuromuscular Reeducation, to name a few. Searching to further enhance her skills and expand her career, Lala completed her Pilates certification through Balanced Body University in April 2012. She completed her 200 hour yoga certification at Holistic Yoga School International in Fort Collins as she opened another door for growth and self-development.
Continuing on her healing path, Lala recently became a Reiki Master Teacher. Reiki is an ancient energy healing technique that facilitates healing by activating the relaxation response and helping the body to balance itself from a very deep level.
Lala's extensive education has enabled her to treat clients with a variety of injuries, as well as to assist people in proper movement patterns by implementing progressive strengthening, stretching, and core stabilization programs. During the past several years, she has offered various types of bodywork that facilitate your path to healthy living as you continue your journey towards a pain-free lifestyle.
After several years working in traditional PT clinics, Lala saw shortcomings in the quality of care that patients deserved. Rooted-Being is her creation to allow her to provide high-quality, comprehensive care via various types of bodywork, pilates, and/or yoga based sessions. She strives to help individuals who want to enhance their overall well-being, learn preventative techniques to instill a healthier and happier life, and/or return to a pain- free and more active life.
Each session focuses on the client's individual needs for releasing chronic holding patterns in
the body, to facilitate decreased pain, increased range of motion and ease of movement.
Techniques may include Neuromuscular Reeducation, Deep Tissue Work, Craniosacral Therapy, Joint Mobilization, Manual Stretching, Myofascial Release and/or other soft tissue techniques.

Lala worked for me at my physical therapy/pilates studio. She is one of the absolute best instructors that has ever worked at the studio. She helped make both the studio, and myself as a clinician, better.
Lala's ability to do both bodywork and teach skilled pilates allows her to successfully work with a large variety of patients and clients. She not only has the knowledge and skill level , but also a beautiful nature and personality which allows her to provide an exceptional healing environment for her clients.
Lala is a very special and unique individual, who I cannot recommend strongly enough. Our studio still misses Lala every day!

"At 58 years old, joint and back problems were preventing me from taking a walk for more than a block. I tried everything and then met Lala. Between her intuitive style of pilates and deep massage, I was walking 2 miles within a few months.
She has been a godsend to me."
After years of doing Pilates with a number of different instructors, I was fortunate enough to work with Lala. She is a highly skilled professional who is able to draw from her extensive education and experience in PT, Pilates, Yoga and body work to develop individualized programs to strengthen and improve the health and well being of her clients. Personally she challenged me to meet my fitness goals through a well thought out, adaptive exercise plan. Along the way, a long-time reoccurring pain was alleviated.
There are very few instructors that are as focused and observant as Lala- she notices each micro movement to insure her clients are using proper form and getting the maximum benefit from each exercise. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone interested in becoming healthier and stronger. You will be energized, encouraged and challenged in your sessions. Certainly a 5 out of 5 star rating!
Lala is a creative and encouraging instructor. Her bright, warm attitude made it a pleasure to come in and she always challenged me to achieve my best. Her strong technical knowledge was an advantage when trying to work with or around my physical challenges due to injury and scoliosis.
Lala provides a unique mix of solid experience as a physical therapist, years of skilled, precise pilates instruction, and deep knowledge of several bodywork modalities. This was perfect for me, since I am living in a body that has been through a lot, and Lala was very creative in guiding me through a workout that would make me stronger without risk. She was always sensitive to the true state of my body on any given day, and able to adapt as needed. I believe Lala has natural healing qualities that she brings to everything she does.
I had the pleasure of working with Lala for a year, doing private pilates 1- 2 times per week. Lala used her PT expertise to create and adapt workouts that always met my needs to strengthen, ease pain and help correct body issues and improve my health. She was always very positive, encouraging & professional to work with, she is missed.
I had the opportunity to have Lala do body work/ massage. Her PT knowledge & pilates training experience give her an great understanding of the body & the best way to focus when she is doing massage. I had never had any massage work done & she made me feel very comfortable, always explained what she was doing & did deep tissue work at my comfort level. I experienced increased flexibility & comfort afterward.
